The first time I began to understand Uranus was in 2019. It was on top of my midheaven and that reflected an intense period professional growth. You know when you’re on a treadmill and it’s like just a bit too fast? You’re keeping up but a part of you is a little afraid. Will I slip? Will I stumble? That was me for about 6 months.
It was during a reading with Amelia Quint that I learned it was common for Uranus transits to feel like a rocket. All you can do was hold on for the ride (I was just hoping my arms wouldn’t fall off.) Uranus was discovered at the time we learned about electricity and Benjamin Franklin was doing his experiments on lightning. It wants to see not just change, it wants it yesterday.
In Taurus, one of the steadiest zodiac signs, this change can be scary. Taurus is a sign all about comfort, ease, and the steady on going growth of Spring. Uranus here can come in like an earthquake, tearing apart the ground beneath you, forever changing your foundations.
Since May 2023, Jupiter has become Uranus’s roommate in Taurus. Jupiter wants to affirm and grow whatever it touches. It is also a teacher and loves big systemic truths. This conjunction is happening at the tail end of both Jupiter and Uranus’s time in Taurus, almost acting like a grand final moment in their Taurus transits.
