I kept wanting this eclipse to be later, out there, or just not now. Most astrologers will say that once the Sun is in the sign of one of the nodes, eclipse season has started. And sure enough, this Libra season has brought instability and chaos on a global level. As an American Jew who has worked to end the occupation, it has become all too personal. It feels like any justice has been swallowed by the north node’s dragon head. And me? Well, I’m out of matches.
Despite this, another eclipse is coming— a lunar eclipse at 5 degrees of Taurus. Lunar eclipses always occur on full moon and so always are a kind of ending. This one, however, also ends this eclipse season and a larger two year eclipse cycle in Taurus and Scorpio. If this were a TV show, we’re seeing the season and series finale on Thursday.
As a Leo rising with all this change in my career sector? I’m ready for some quiet. Taurus is usually the solid and steady part of our lives. Eclipses here for keep shifting the very ground beneath our feet. I expect all the fixed rising signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) will appreciate it.
Still, this final Taurus eclipse won’t be quiet or subtle. This eclipse is a team sport— Jupiter in Taurus will oppose Mars and Mercury in Scorpio. This creates a tension between our world views and dark truths. In order to move into abundance, we have to cut something else out, precise as a surgeon.
So how do we make it through? Both Libra and Taurus are ruled by Venus. The more we support and work with Venus, the more resources and ease we can find through this eclipse.
Like the last one, Venus remains in Virgo. In Virgo, she finds beauty in the details, the small, the grounded reality of organizing what is. This sign can reveal how our emotions or philosophical truths may not match up to the reality of things. Even better, Venus can align Taurus and Scorpio because it aspects both signs.

How to work with Venus in Virgo
Organize an area of your life: redo a closet, clean out your phone, or let go of some of your old Tupperware
Give back: Venus in Virgo loves acts of devotion. Find a cause near and dear to your heart. Or start by cleaning up trash in near by park.
Spend time in nature: Virgo is an earth sign. So, spend time outside, especially if you can do something that grounds you.
Focus on refining something: Venus here finds beauty in review and fixing of things. Brush off an old piece of writing that could use another pass. Do another layer in your art journal. Focus on one small thing that could use another layer of TLC in your life.
Write down what’s changed: Take a few minutes to jot down how much has changed in your life in the last two years. How have you grown? What have you released?
How will this eclipse impact you?
This eclipse finalizes something in each of our charts. These are some of the questions I’ve been discussing with clients as we approach the eclipse.
